Todd Radunsky: To run across what the public sees, the fastest way is to simply log out of Flickr, or employ another browser that isn't logged in, and view your photostream. That style y'all'll see what we see. If you utilise the Organizr, you can display merely tht content that'due south yet public:

www.flickr.com/photos/organize

Along the peak of the ribbon of thumbnails are view options. Click the "more options" link, and then at that place's a bill of fare that will let yous choose "merely public content". You can then batch edit that content to be private.

The Organizr can't handle more than a couple hundred images at a time, which is why it was probably choking on yous before.

Merely go to this link: www.flickr.com/photos/memoriesbytodd/

Search defaults to searching photos. Use the drop-down that appears when you blazon in the search box to alter the search blazon to members.

For the Organizer, work in smaller batches. Well-nigh 100-200 at a time usually works. I get for filmstrip-size batches so I don't lose track.

I went to preferences and striking the button to brand all my stuff individual just it appears I however take 266 photos that AREN'T private and I dont know why or how to change it. Much of what is written above is confusing and makes no sense the way im reading information technology. Can someone delight tell me step by step instructions on how to make the 266 photos I take that are public, private? Why are they public if I take everything marked and then only I tin can see it? To make your currently public photos individual:

Open up You > Organize
At the bottom strip, narrow the option to Public
Now you can Select All and drag those into the work area
From the top bar, select the option to change privacy level
Be sure to prepare that level then it gets applied

To make certain your future uploads are individual:

Open up your Settings from the meridian-right buddy icon
Select the second tab
Whorl down to upload defaults
Set your upload default to private

Todd Radunsky:

Why are they public if I accept everything marked so only I tin meet it?

Because you oasis't done that: the pick in settings is only practical to your hereafter uploads, non to already uploaded photos.

Under "Permissions" choose "who tin can come across". So yous tin select "only you". Make sure to hit Salvage when you're done. Y'all should see a bar running proverb it'due south working.
